Reuse a prepared design without preparing it again

Use the same saved prepared version for another layout or order, and know when an edit creates a new version.

Updated

Keep the saved prepared version

Reuse works through the saved prepared artwork and its identity. Reopening that certified version is different from uploading an ordinary replacement PNG, a screenshot, or a thumbnail that looks similar. Keep the prepared version selected when you add it to another layout.

A successful preparation creates a saved ProFile entry in My Designs. It also keeps the prepared version in Studio history. Existing older designs are not all automatically upgraded to protected ProFiles; check the entry you intend to use.

  1. Sign into the account that owns the design and open My Designs.
  2. Find the intended saved ProFile and inspect its preview. Select the prepared artwork you want to reuse.
  3. Choose Create Gang Sheet to start a sheet from the selected designs. This imports the saved artwork identity through the supported flow.
  4. Set the required physical size and copy count. Review quality at that size, even when the artwork is already prepared.
  5. Check the whole order before checkout, including any ordinary artwork added beside the prepared file.

Which changes need another review?

Which changes need another review?
Your changeWhat to check
Place the same prepared version againReuse its saved identity; do not submit a fresh preparation just to add another copy.
Change placement size or copy countReview effective resolution, dimensions, quantities, and the physical order total.
Change text, colors, crop, or other pixelsThe edited output is a new version. Check its artwork and its own preparation quote.
Upload a replacement or screenshotDo not assume it inherits the original ProFile certification. Use the saved version instead.
Reorder a past physical orderConfirm the artwork version and current order details, including ordinary artwork or legacy fee history.

The protected .ams file and the print order

Download .ams in My Designs gives you the protected AMS file. It is not an ordinary PNG or vector artwork. The customer upload controls do not import downloaded .ams files. For another AMS order, select the saved ProFile in My Designs and choose Create Gang Sheet; that flow reuses its saved identity. Renaming a protected file to .png does not convert it or preserve that ordering identity.

Reusing preparation is separate from buying physical transfers. Another placement or reorder can still have physical printing charges. A prepared item also does not exempt ordinary files on a mixed sheet from review. Check each file and the final order total.

If readiness or a fee looks wrong

First confirm the selected artwork is the original prepared version, in the owning account. A pixel edit or ordinary reupload can explain why the prepared identity is absent. If the unchanged saved version unexpectedly loses readiness or shows another preparation charge, stop before submitting another preparation.

For an older order, review the recorded fee details: historical settlement can differ from the current Design Credit quote. Ask support to inspect the design/version or order number and the fee shown. Do not assume buying credits repairs missing history.
