Prepare artwork with Make Print Ready

Select the right version, check the current credit price, and keep the prepared result for your order.

Updated

Start with the version you actually want to print

Make Print Ready prepares a selected image version. It does not approve the design for you. Check names, dates, spelling, logos, and missing details before preparing it. If the source is wrong, correct the source first; making the pixels larger does not establish that the artwork is correct.

Keep your original file. The prepared result becomes a separate version, so you can compare it with the source and choose which one to use.

  1. Open the Gang Sheet Builder and its Create or Fix with AI entry. Open your design, or return to its saved Recent designs entry.
  2. Choose the intended version using the version thumbnails. Check the version number and the artwork, rather than assuming the most recent thumbnail is the approved one.
  3. Choose your intended Print width. When the selected unprepared image is too soft at that width, the warning offers Make Print Ready for free or Make Print Ready · 4 credits, depending on the current price.
  4. Read the price beside the action and choose Make Print Ready. Sign in if prompted. If the quote changes, review the current price before choosing the action again.
  5. Wait for the prepared version. Inspect it at your intended size, check the words and edges, and select the prepared version before choosing Add to gang sheet.

Which source files work?

  • Use a single readable PNG, JPEG, or WebP image. An arbitrary pasted image URL is not a substitute for importing your artwork through the supported flow.
  • The source limit is 20 MiB and 4 million pixels. Width × height gives the pixel count: 2000 × 2000 is 4 million; 3000 × 2000 is 6 million and exceeds the limit.
  • The file must contain visible artwork. An empty or fully invisible image cannot be prepared.
  • If a large source is rejected, preserve the original and make a separate correctly sized copy. If reducing it would compromise your intended print, ask for artwork guidance before proceeding.

Understand the price and the separate limits

The regular preparation price is 4 Design Credits. The current launch waiver is 0 credits; the current quote for your version controls the action. A waived preparation does not make a physical transfer order free.

The waiver allows up to ten nonfailed preparations in a rolling 24-hour period. This is separate from the 15 daily free Design Credits, which reset by UTC calendar day. A zero-credit preparation still counts toward the promotional preparation limit. You may also see an in-progress limit; let existing work finish instead of opening more submissions.

What preparation does and what you still need to check

The delivered result is raster artwork, with its longest side capped at 4800 pixels. Smaller files can remain smaller. Size and transparency checks do not guarantee automatic background removal, repaired spelling, restored missing details, or perfect printing at any size.

Review the finished result, keep its saved prepared identity, and check your gang sheet and physical order before checkout. Ordinary artwork elsewhere on the sheet still needs its own review.
