Understand your balances and daily reset

Read Daily free, Purchased, Studio credits, and reservations, and find out when your daily allowance resets.

Updated

Check the account and each balance

Sign in using the original account you used for your designs and purchases. Credits belong to that account. A different sign-in can show a different balance; buying another pack does not recover an older account balance.

  1. Open Studio and choose Add Design Credits or Add credits, depending on the view you see.
  2. In the Add credits dialog, read Available, Daily free, and Purchased separately. Studio credits appears when there is an available preserved Studio balance.
  3. Look for “credits reserved for work in progress.” Check your existing work before deciding that the difference is missing credits.

What each balance means

For an eligible action, the wallet uses daily credits first, then preserved Studio credits, then purchased credits. Review the cost shown for your action: generation, editing, and preparation do not all have one universal price or eligibility rule.

The displayed reserved total can omit holds against preserved Studio credits. A lower Studio balance with no displayed reservation can still reflect work in progress. Check the original action and ask support to inspect an unexplained difference before buying another pack.

What each balance means
BalanceHow it works
Daily free15 credits per UTC calendar day for eligible actions. Unused daily credits do not accumulate. This means credits, not 15 generated designs.
PurchasedCredits from one-time packs. They do not expire and do not reset with the daily allowance.
Studio creditsYour preserved existing Studio balance, shown separately when available. Fractional legacy balances can remain.
ReservedCredits held for work in progress. They are not available for a second action while held.

The reset is midnight UTC

The daily allowance follows a UTC date, rather than midnight in your own time zone. In Houston, midnight UTC is 7 p.m. during Central Daylight Time and 6 p.m. during Central Standard Time. A reset creates the new day’s allowance; it does not add yesterday’s unused allowance to today’s.

A reservation keeps its original day. If an action using yesterday’s daily credits later fails definitively, release returns those credits to that original date. It does not add them to today’s daily balance.

Daily credits and free preparation have separate limits

Make Print Ready has a regular cost of 4 credits. The launch waiver currently quotes 0 credits, subject to the current quote and availability. Waived preparations have a separate limit of 10 nonfailed preparations in a rolling 24 hours. That rolling window is different from the 15-credit UTC daily allowance.

A zero-credit preparation does not use daily credits. It still counts toward its own promotional limit. Credit or preparation availability does not include the cost of a physical transfer order.

If a balance still looks wrong

Contact support if the same account still shows inconsistent balances after reopening, or a confirmed purchase has not become available. Include the displayed balance buckets and approximate prior balance for a Studio-balance issue.

Use Contact AMS support below and submit the help request. Include the page or tool, approximate time with your time zone, exact visible status or error, and the purchase, design, version, or workspace identifier if shown. A redacted screenshot can help. Never send a full card number, CVV, bank password, authentication code, access token, or signed download URL.
