No. These patches use laser engraving, which creates sharp, durable black or grayscale designs. Full-color photos, gradients, and white ink are not possible with this method. For best results, submit logos, text, and simple graphics with solid blacks and clear lines.
Kota Pro is a non-tacky heat-activated film that permanently bonds the patch to fabric under heat. When heat is applied (typically with a heat press or iron), the adhesive activates and creates a strong, lasting bond. Once set, the patch is permanently adhered without stitching or additional fasteners.
The patches are 2.5" × 2.5", but the recommended decoration area is 2.3" × 2.3". This conservative margin ensures your design stays clear of the edges and attaches properly. Keep your artwork within this zone for best results.
Submit your artwork as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF) or high-resolution raster image (300 DPI minimum). Vector formats are ideal for sharp laser engraving, but high-quality raster files work well too. Avoid low-resolution images or compressed formats.
These patches come in eight neutral Creekside Collection colors: Light Brown, Medium Brown, Blush, Light Gray, Gray, Dark Gray, Light Tan, and Light Green. Each color is available in the same 2.5" × 2.5" size with laser-engraving capability.
You receive the laser-engraved faux leather patches with Kota Pro adhesive already applied to the back. The patches are 1.57mm thick and ready to heat-activate and apply to fabric. Orders are filled in cases of 25 patches per case.
