Vector designs (Adobe Illustrator, EPS, PDF) and high-resolution raster images (600+ DPI) engrave most cleanly. Single-color, grayscale, and line-art designs produce the sharpest results on faux leather; full-color photos or designs requiring white ink won't render well with laser engraving.
Kota Pro is heat-activated, remaining non-sticky during placement for precise positioning and clean setup. Once heat is applied, it forms a permanent bond—ideal for high-contact items like jackets, hats, and bags that need reliable durability without shifting or peeling.
The patch has a recommended decoration area of 3.3" x 2.3". This accounts for safe margins from the patch edges to ensure crisp laser engraving without running off or creating uneven borders.
