Yes. You can use 3D UV printing for a color logo or background and add laser engraving for fine text details or accent lines. This layered approach creates visual depth and is popular for high-end awards.
The decoration area is limited by the plaque's 8" × 10½" frame with scalloped corners and border design. Oversized artwork will either be scaled down, cropped, or repositioned. We recommend designing within the 7.5" × 10" zone during artwork preparation.
Laser engraving on American walnut produces a visible burn mark that's readable and adds character, but it's less dramatic than engraving on the black LaserFX plate. The plate is the primary surface; walnut engraving works best for secondary text or decorative accents.
The border sits around the plaque edge and follows the scalloped profile—it's not part of your 7.5" × 10" decoration area. The border frames your artwork and adds elegance without competing for attention.
Yes. 3D UV printing bonds directly to the material surface and is resistant to fading and wear in typical indoor office conditions. For outdoor or high-traffic displays, laser engraving on the black plate offers slightly more permanence, but both methods hold up well to regular display.
Vector formats (CDR, AI, EPS, PDF) are ideal for laser engraving and ensure crisp, scalable results. For 3D UV printing with color, submit vector logos when possible or high-resolution raster files at 300 DPI. Avoid low-resolution JPEGs; they may pixelate during color printing.
