Kota Pro is a professional-grade, heat-activated adhesive that remains non-sticky until heat is applied—giving you clean, mistake-free placement on your items. Once pressed with heat, it forms a permanent, durable bond ideal for jackets, hats, and bags that see frequent contact and wear.
No. Laser engraving produces monochrome (black and white) results. Full-color photos and multi-color designs are not suitable for this production method. Designs with solid fills, line work, and text work best.
The 2.8" × 2.8" area is the safe zone for your artwork to avoid the patch edges. The full 3" × 3" includes the outer perimeter. Keeping your design within the recommended area ensures clean results and proper visual balance on the finished patch.
Laser engraving bonds the design directly into the faux leather surface, creating a mark that won't fade, peel, or chip like printed patches. The design remains intact through regular wear, washing, and outdoor exposure typical for workwear and gear.
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are ideal and produce the cleanest results. High-resolution raster files (PNG, JPG at 300+ DPI) also work. Avoid low-resolution or heavily compressed files, which may appear fuzzy or lose fine detail during engraving.
Kota Pro is designed for most standard fabrics used in workwear, hats, and bags—including cotton, nylon, canvas, and blends. For specialty materials, test on a sample first. The heat-activation requirement means the receiving item must tolerate brief, moderate heat application.
