## Start with AMS before connecting anything {#separate-path}

For a first AMS store, start with Campaign Stores. Square is a separate alternative that Alex offers. The intended path is: you create products in Square, and OrderDesk acts as the bridge to AMS for order processing.

We have not verified a customer self-setup process for that connection. Creating a Campaign Store does not connect a Square account. Ask AMS to confirm support for your setup before you sell items through it.

1. **Your Square store** You create and manage its products.
2. **OrderDesk** The proposed order bridge. Setup must be confirmed.
3. **AMS** Order-processing details need agreement with AMS.

## Get the setup confirmed {#confirm-with-ams}

1. **Tell AMS what you already use** Say whether you have a Square account and an OrderDesk account. Share your product types and intended delivery methods. Do not send account passwords or API keys in a help request.

2. **Ask who handles each part** Confirm account prerequisites, connection setup, product matching, artwork and print details, payment collection, fees, order support, and who maintains the connection.

3. **Agree on a safe test before selling** Ask AMS how the connection will be checked and what counts as a correctly received order. Do not place a real order just to test the connection.
